Rest of the tab is avoided as of now and if you are interested then please read it’s PDF carefully before executing.


Please don’t use the Erasing option anytime for SSD.

Before you click “Execute,” make sure you actually want to delete all the stuff above, since your system will need to rebuild it at some point.


You can clean unnecessary files and fix other Operating System (MacOS) related minor issues using Onyx tool.

Download & Install Onyx.

Steps to use:

  1. Close all open apps/programs/software's.
  2. Open Onyx from the Applications folder. 
  3. The first time you run Onyx, you’ll need to approve it through the dialog box. Click “Open” to run the program.
  4. Enter your administrator username and password and click OK.
  5. After that on Terms of use untick “Display at launch” to avoid seeing the agreement at each launch then Click “Agree”.
  6. Click Continue on verifying the structure of the disk.


When the application completes verification, it will open the main window/screen:

  1. Click Automation tab.
  2. Check (Tick)what you want to erase/clean and uncheck (untick) specific options what you do not want to change and click Execute.

It will take some time to complete execution, and restart the computer.


Cleaning Tab:

  •   Like the “Maintenance” tab, “Cleaning” exposes a variety of system functions for easy access. For the most part the    “Cleaning” tab is about removing caches, so you’ll see a variety of caches that you can erase.
  •    It can also help free up disk space on storage-restricted Macs. Most of these caches can be cleared without issue,    since  the system will just rebuild them as needed.


   


Automation Tab:

  • With the “Automation” tab, you can automate many of the tasks from the “Maintenance” and “Cleaning” menu.
  • Essentially, it allows you to run a subset of the most popular tasks with the click of a single button.
